Yes, all Grand Seiko watches sold by Bijouterie Italienne come with a 5-year international warranty covering any manufacturing defects.
Grand Seiko watches come with a five-year international warranty from the date of purchase. This warranty covers manufacturing defects in the movement, case, and metal bracelet, provided they are used according to the manufacturer's recommendations. Normal wear and tear, shocks, damage resulting from misuse, or unauthorized repairs are not covered.
For any warranty claim, the watch must be presented with the duly completed Grand Seiko warranty certificate. Bijouterie Italienne, as an official distributor since 2022, assists you with all after-sales service procedures.
Repairs and maintenance are carried out exclusively within the authorized Grand Seiko international service network. Depending on the service required, the watch may be serviced locally or sent to a specialized center, including in Japan. Bijouterie Italienne provides complete after-sales service.
The Grand Seiko Standard is an internal precision standard specific to the brand. Mechanical movements are tested for 17 days, in six positions and at three different temperatures, to replicate real-world usage conditions. Only watches meeting these criteria can bear the Grand Seiko name.
This certificate attests that the movement has successfully passed the Grand Seiko Standard precision tests under scientifically controlled conditions. It indicates the caliber number, the movement serial number, and the case number. This document is unique and cannot be replaced if lost.
Accuracy depends on the type of movement. Quartz models offer an annual accuracy of ±10 seconds. Spring Drive watches exhibit an average variation of ±15 seconds per month. Grand Seiko mechanical watches have a target accuracy in use of between -1 and +10 seconds per day, measured over an average of 7 to 10 days.
The accuracy stated on the certificate corresponds to a movement tested at rest, before casing. In actual use, accuracy may vary depending on the winding level, temperature, wrist movements, and the position of the watch at rest.
It is recommended to avoid magnetic fields, wipe the watch dry after use, rinse it with fresh water after contact with salt water, and avoid extreme temperatures. For mechanical watches, regular wear is advised. A complete service is recommended every three to four years.
The polishing service helps to minimize light scratches and is performed by hand by skilled artisans. Some elements cannot be polished, and deep scratches cannot always be completely removed. Slight variations in finish may occur due to the handcrafted nature of the work.
